Create your first event
Create an event, choose languages, send the speaker link, and put the listener QR code at the venue.
One conference or class is one event. Creating an event takes a minute, and everything except the name can be changed later.
Create an event
- In the left menu, click “Events”, then “Create event”.
- Enter the “Event name”, for example “Spring Forum 2026”.
- Select “Translation languages”: the caption languages listeners can choose. Each additional language uses 10% more hours.
- Select “Languages the speaker will use”. Pick only the languages the speaker will actually use. Correct choices are more accurate; too many slow it down.
- Click “Create”.
You then see the event “Overview”.
What is on the Overview
- Event state: whether the speaker is online or recording, and how many listeners are connected.
- Listeners: the listener link, QR code and listener password.
- For the speaker: the speaker link and its expiry date.
- Projector captions: the projector URL and broadcast URL (OBS / vMix).
- Usage: recording time, hours used and peak listeners.
Send the speaker link
- On the “For the speaker” card, click “Copy instructions for the speaker”.
- Paste it into an email or chat message. It contains the link, the steps and the expiry date.
Note:
- A speaker link is valid for 7 days. If the event is more than a week away, click “Regenerate speaker link” before the event and send the new link.
- The speaker link is shown only on the computer that created the event. To get it on another computer, regenerate it. The old link stops working immediately.
Let listeners in
- Print the QR code from the “Listeners” card, or show it on the venue screen.
- The speaker page also has “Let listeners join”, which shows the QR code full screen.
Before you start
- Your organization has hours. To start recording, the hours left must cover at least 10 minutes at this event’s settings. See Top up and how hours work.
- If the talk has special names or terms, create a glossary first.
- Add the “Topic and background” in Settings for more accurate translation. See Event settings.
