Choose a language and listen
Switch caption language, change size and display mode; tap the speaker button to listen with earphones.
After you join, you can change the language, adjust the captions, and listen to the translation read aloud at any time.
Switch the caption language
Above the captions there are language buttons. Tap one to switch to that language. The organizer decides which languages are available.
Display mode
Tap “Settings” at the top right and choose a “Display” mode:
- Translation only.
- Translation + original: also shows what the speaker said.
- Original only.
- All languages.
The original is the speaker’s words turned into text.
Other settings
In “Settings” you can also change:
- Caption size: tap A− or A+.
- Appearance: dark, light or follow the system.
- Interface language: 繁體中文 or English.
These settings are saved on this phone, so you do not need to set them again next time.
Listen to synthesized speech
If the organizer has turned it on, a speaker button appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Put on earphones (recommended) so you do not disturb others.
- Tap the speaker button to listen. Tap it again to stop.
You hear the translation in the language you chose.
- If the speech falls too far behind the speaker, a few sentences are skipped to catch up.
- Some networks block the audio, but captions still work. It retries automatically; you can also try mobile data.
- If you do not see the speaker button, this event does not offer speech.
Tips
- If the screen turns off, captions stop. Add the page to your home screen, or set a longer auto-lock time in your phone settings.
- Changing the language or settings does not take you out of the event, and you do not need to enter the password again.
